With a commitment to circular economy principles, Peelpioneers specializes in repurposing citrus byproducts for high-impact use across the food and cleaning sectors, converting discarded peels into functional ingredients for items ranging from plant-based burgers and ice creams to soaps and eco-friendly cleaning agents.
The forthcoming facility in Murcia marks a significant expansion for Peelpioneers, which aims to process approximately 30 million kilograms of orange peels annually by 2027. This large-scale operation is poised to significantly reduce organic waste, offering a scalable model for sustainable production and upcycling in Europe.
Beyond its environmental impact, the plant is expected to stimulate regional economic development by generating local employment opportunities and fostering innovation within the agri-food and waste management sectors.
