DIY Fashion Upcycling Kits

Popflex Active Made DIY Kits for Buyers Using Upcycled Skort Materials

Cassey Ho, founder of the Popflex Active apparel company, has officially launched the new Popflex Upcycle Project. This innovative project uses downloadable dress patterns and Pirouette Skort dupes to help shoppers deconstruct the piece and craft something new from the materials, eliminating waste and championing creativity. The kits feature custom designs by Kiana Bonollo and Tracy Garcia, two iconic, independent designers in the upcycling and pattern categories.

“I felt like this was such a great way to talk about sustainability and bring light to what actually happens to products when companies don’t want them anymore,” Ho said. “This project is a good way to talk about the dirty parts of the fashion industry, which I think the average consumer does not know about.”
