Using wood, RAIKU makes a luxurious-looking, 100% natural packaging material that's compostable, shock-absorbent, protective and completely plastic-free. Harnessing "one of the lowest carbon footprint materials in the world," RAIKU makes products like dust-free, flexible coiled springs that are ideal for preventing damage to cosmetics and perfumes during shipping, and suitable for disposal in biowaste or simply returning to the earth to nourish soil at the end of their usable life.

RAIKU is one of 13 startups and SME’s joining L'AcceleratOR, L'Oréal's flagship sustainable innovation program run in partnership with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. The 12-month program is structured to support pilot framing, readiness, and real-world deployment, and participants like RAIKU will receive up to 12 hours of one-to-one mentoring and coaching from global sustainability, innovation, and industry leaders.
