Sustainable Packaging Film Materials

Charter Next Generation has introduced a new product to its line of sustainable packaging films. Identified as GreenArrow™, this innovation features a non-glossy surface and is manufactured from a specialized form of polyethylene.

The GreenArrow™ matte-finish machine-direction oriented polyethylene (MDO-PE) print film is compatible with existing store-based recycling programs for plastic bags and wraps, as it has received a preliminary validation from entities like How2Recycle®.

Charter Next Generation produces its sustainable packaging film via a manufacturing technique that stretches the material to enhance its structural properties. This move allows for a reduction in material thickness while maintaining performance. The matte texture, on the other hand, is integrated directly into the film, thereby removing the need for additional layers or coatings that could complicate the recycling process.
