North Salinas High School Taps AstroTurf's Material

North Salinas High School has installed a new synthetic athletic field utilizing the AstroTurf® RootZone® GT-B Blend Field. This innovative system incorporates materials that are derived from renewable, plant-based sources. Because of its composition, the product has earned a designation from the USDA's BioPreferred Program.
The eco-conscious synthetic athletic field system is designed with a specific layer intended to keep the underlying infill material stable, which is promoted as enhancing both safety for players and the consistency of the playing surface. The AstroTurf® RootZone® GT-B Blend Field installation at North Salinas High School is presented as a dual-purpose investment that aims to provide a modern and durable facility for school sports and physical education while also making an environmentally conscious choice.
