The Body Shop Commemorates 19 Years in India

The Body Shop commemorates 19 years in India by reinforcing its mission to merge ethical beauty with social and environmental progress. Since entering the Indian market in 2006, the brand has prioritized community impact, sustainable sourcing, and inclusive practices across its operations.

In celebration of this milestone, The Body Shop launched a series of initiatives aligned with its 'Spark A Change 2.0' campaign. Among them, the donation of "19 electric tricycles to informal waste collectors aims to improve mobility, dignity, and income-generating potential—made possible through nationwide customer support."

Furthering its long-standing partnership with Plastics for Change, the brand continues to drive circular solutions in the beauty industry. To date, the collaboration has recovered "over 2,330 metric tons of plastic, reduced 4.4 million kilograms of CO₂ emissions, and supported more than 2,000 waste collectors, reaffirming The Body Shop’s commitment to ethical and inclusive development."
