Recyclable Jar Containers

The Plug Drink, a Los Angeles-based wellness brand known for plant-based liver health supplements, is introducing new sustainable packaging for its popular detox pills. The startup unveiled that it will transition from single-use packets to recyclable jar containers for its pill products. The sleek jars will be offered in 30-day and 60-day supply sizes, allowing customers to buy in bulk and reduce packaging waste.

This packaging redesign not only aligns with The Plug’s mission of promoting a healthy lifestyle, but also caters to consumer calls for less plastic -- the jars are easier to recycle and can potentially be repurposed by users. Pre-orders for the new jars are now open, with full rollout expected in the coming months. The Plug’s co-founder Ray Kim noted that maintaining some single-serve packets for on-the-go use will ensure convenience, but the bulk jar option will support everyday routines 'while being kind to the environment.' Beyond packaging, The Plug Drink has engaged in carbon-neutral shipping and other green initiatives, underscoring a holistic approach to sustainability.
