Deep Sky and Rubicon Carbon Enter a Long-Term Commercial Arrangement
Kalin Ned — September 20, 2025References: deepskyclimate
A Canadian enterprise named Deep Sky, which develops carbon removal projects utilizing various direct air capture technologies, has formalized a long-term commercial arrangement with Rubicon Carbon, a firm specializing in carbon credit management.
This multi-year agreement designates Deep Sky as the inaugural direct air capture provider within Rubicon’s investment portfolios, with a commitment to supply carbon removal credits from 2025 through 2033. The credits will originate from Deep Sky’s initial operational facility, which possesses an annual capacity of 3,000 tons. Deep Sky has plans for future projects across Canada.
This partnership is the result of extensive due diligence by Rubicon Carbon, which concluded that Deep Sky’s development strategy and Canada’s supportive infrastructure — including its renewable energy resources and stable geological formations for storage — effectively mitigate project and financial risks.
