Siemens, a global technology leader in energy solutions, and Germany-based TURN2X have entered into a collaborative partnership to advance renewable natural gas production. The project is designed to scale up TURN2X’s production capacity by integrating Siemens’ comprehensive suite of technologies, including solutions from its Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. The collaboration focuses on optimizing the production process of climate-neutral methane—a renewable alternative to conventional natural gas produced by combining green hydrogen with captured CO₂ through specialized process systems. This initiative addresses the growing market demand for green energy alternatives in the context of a broader sustainable energy transition.
Under the partnership, Siemens will provide technological support aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and maintaining high standards of production reliability. The agreement emphasizes several key technical areas, including the application of advanced automation systems, digital twin technology, and robust cybersecurity measures. These strategies are intended to facilitate remote plant operations and optimize process performance, thereby ensuring that TURN2X can scale production rapidly while upholding operational excellence. This partnership represents a coordinated effort to contribute to a more sustainable and efficient renewable energy infrastructure.
