Atelier Matic's participation in 3daysofdesign presents a thoughtful exploration of overlooked natural materials. The Tokyo-based design firm transforms ordinary garden and studio remnants into objects of functional beauty.

Titled 'Possibilities from a Small Garden,' the exhibition recontextualizes pruned branches, tree bark, soil debris, and sawdust into sculptural seed boxes. The resulting designs emphasize sustainability and the latent potential of discarded resources. Central to the display is the innovative use of solidified sawdust, which is a byproduct of woodworking, alongside repurposed Akiu stone, typically employed as paving material. These elements are crafted into minimalist vessels designed to nurture plant life, blurring the line between utilitarian object and artistic intervention.
