Water2, a United Kingdom-based water filtration company partially owned by public figure Bear Grylls, has extended its product range beyond drinking water to introduce a filtered showerhead.
The new product is engineered to reduce chlorine content by up to 90%, filter out microplastics and trihalomethanes (THMs), and mitigate limescale accumulation, while also purportedly enhancing the perceived water pressure. The device utilizes a proprietary activated carbon filtration system, which has been validated by independent laboratory testing, and is designed for tool-free installation. Each unit includes a replaceable filter cartridge with a 90-day lifespan and an optional vitamin C booster.
In marketing its filtered showerhead, Water2 emphasizes educational content concerning tap water quality issues. It also leverages the involvement of Bear Grylls to build brand recognition and consumer trust.
