Circular Tights Value Chains
Calzedonia and Partners Unveil the Innovative 'Re-Tights' Project
Kanesa D — October 30, 2025Re-Tights, an emerging industrial initiative powered by the European Union, is dedicated to developing the first circular value chain for tights in Europe. This project involves Golden Lady, Calzedonia, its manufacturing subsidiary Ytres, Asendia, and Union Industries, and focuses on using chemical separation to recover polyamide fibers. Logistics partner Asendia delivers the used tights from Calzedonia stores to Golden Lady for separation. Golden Lady and Union Industries then separate and recycle the tights using a process that produces polyamide yarn. Calzedonia, through its Ytres subsidiary, then handles the production of new tights.
“Through this collaboration, Re-Tights aims to create a reproducible and sustainable model that could be applied to other complex textile products,” the project leaders explained.
