Cellugy has been awarded €8.1 million in EU funding to advance its mission of eliminating microplastics and petrochemical ingredients from personal care and cosmetic products. The funding marks a major milestone for the company as it prepares to scale the production of its EcoFLEXY™ platform—a cutting-edge, cellulose-based material designed to replace synthetic, fossil-derived components widely used in beauty formulations.

With this investment, Cellugy will accelerate the commercialization of its debut product, EcoFLEXY™ Rheo. The platform's impact spans a broad range of applications, including skincare, oral care, color cosmetics, and deodorants, where rheology modifiers play a key role in texture and application.

This funding will support Cellugy’s next phase of growth, including process optimization, commercial-scale production, and industry partnerships as it prepares to bring EcoFLEXY™ to global markets.
