Milliken & Company's new chemical additive is termed the Millad ClearX 9000. This innovation is designed to enhance the visual transparency of polypropylene plastic.
Milliken & Company's Millad ClearX 9000 is formulated to achieve a high degree of clarity while requiring a smaller quantity of the chemical additive to be mixed into the base plastic resin compared to previous versions. Thus, key technical claims for the new formulation include reduced rates of chemical migration from the final plastic product, which is a significant factor for items that come into contact with food or are used in medical settings. The product is also reported to improve manufacturing efficiency by being more compatible with production machinery. This may potentially lead to less operational downtime and waste.
Milliken & Company's technology is designed to work effectively with both new and recycled polypropylene.
