Fully Recyclable Midsoles

To help footwear brands meet their climate and sustainability goals, Cirql introduced Cirql rTPU50 as the newest addition to its fully recyclable midsole collection. This patented material is made of 50% GRS-certified post-industrial recycled TPU and produced with a chemical-free, supercritical foaming process. Already, 25 patents have been granted for Cirql rTPU50, and dozens more are pending worldwide.

Ultimately, this material will help to reduce carbon emissions, eliminate certain substances from manufacturing, and encourage the widespread adoption of a scalable, fully recyclable midsole solution. “Our mission is to keep shoes out of landfills, first and foremost, and with Cirql’s rTPU50 we add another solution for footwear designers, brands and product creators committed to building circular footwear,” said Matt Thwaites, Vice President and General Manager of Cirql.

Cirql rTPU50 is optimized for lifestyle, casual, recovery, safety and golf footwear, and will be available to footwear brands in Q3 2025.
