Futuristic Biodiversity Pop-Ups

The United Arab Emirates has initiated a collaborative effort with Colossal Biosciences to support long-term biodiversity conservation, environmental protection, and scientific research. The partnership emphasizes the responsible application of advanced biological sciences to address ecosystem degradation, species loss, and emerging environmental challenges. By integrating conservation science with data-driven research, the collaboration aims to strengthen ecological resilience and support the preservation of biodiversity across diverse habitats.

Through this initiative, the UAE and Colossal Biosciences underscore a shared commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and evidence-based conservation practices across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond. The partnership reflects a broader approach to safeguarding natural systems by aligning scientific innovation with ecological priorities.

As part of the initiative, a laboratory and Colossal BioVault will be established as a permanent feature at Dubai’s Museum of the Future, under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The museum will serve as a platform for conservation-focused research, collaboration, and public engagement around biodiversity protection and ecosystem preservation.
