PPG Unites with Jebel Ali Free Zone on a Tree-Planting Initiative
Kanesa D — February 2, 2026PPG has teamed up with Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) to support the UAE’s push for a greener, more sustainable urban environment through a hands-on tree-planting initiative. More than 80 PPG employees and family members volunteered to plant 500 native, climate-resilient trees near PPG’s Aerospace Application Support Center in JAFZA.
Located in a heavily industrialized area bordered by major roadways, the project is designed to deliver practical environmental benefits, including improved air quality, expanded shaded green space, and support for local biodiversity. For this effort, PPG worked closely with JAFZA, which will manage irrigation and long-term maintenance to ensure the trees thrive. The initiative was officially inaugurated by Hamad Al Sayegh, Vice President of Customer Care at JAFZA.
"At PPG, our commitment to environmental sustainability is rooted in action,” said Olga Kolevatova, PPG general manager, Middle East, Egypt and Caspian region. “By partnering with JAFZA and engaging our employees and their families in this tree-planting initiative, we contribute directly to the communities where we operate and support Dubai’s sustainability ambitions. Together, we are helping to create healthier, greener spaces for future generations.”
