With the Arbor Day Foundation defining 250 trees as a forest, WeatherBug’s growing total represents nearly 15 new forests contributing to global reforestation and carbon sequestration efforts.

According to WeatherBug Meteorologist Wes Hyduke, trees moderate temperature, improve rainfall consistency, and reduce extreme heat by releasing water vapor and providing shade -- all of which help regulate the planet’s delicate climate systems.
