Community-Based Tree Planting Activities

The Canadian home improvement retailer Home Hardware, in collaboration with the non-profit organization Tree Canada, is coordinating a series of community-based tree planting activities in twenty-five different locations. This initiative is timed to coincide with the country's National Forest Week and represents the continuation of a partnership that has been active for over three decades.

The stated objectives of the Home Hardware x Tree Canada program are to support local environmental health by enhancing green spaces, improving air quality, and promoting biodiversity. The events are organized in partnership with local municipal authorities and rely on the participation of community volunteers. To date, the collaborators have successfully planted tens of thousands of trees with the help of local communities.
