DashLoop by DoorDash Shares Restaurant Meals in Reusable Containers

DashLoop by DoorDash is a new pilot program in the Half Moon Bay and the Coastside area that introduces meals in durable, returnable and reusable containers at no extra cost. With DashLoop, customers can order from participating restaurants and meals will automatically come in reusable containers. After a meal has been enjoyed, the empty containers (ideally rinsed or wiped) may be dropped into a designated DashLoop return bin for sanitization by Dispatch Goods.
According to data from Dispatch Goods, compared to single-use compostable options, reusable containers can reduce waste by up to 98%, slash CO₂ emissions by over 60% per use, require 80% less water and can be used up to 100 times before being fully recycled.
