Old Gold Clothing, owned by West Virginia University (WVU) junior Elaina White, is making a name for itself across campus as a sustainable business offering upcycled, vintage T-shirts that have been reworked as game day apparel. All designs are made to order, with each customer's unique wants and sizing in mind. There are also tube and tank tops available as an alternative to the dresses.
“I met her freshman year, and we’ve lived together for the past two years now,” Camryn O’Leary, White's friend and roommate, said. “She made me a dress for a football game and I was like, ‘Elaina, you should really sell these.’ I think that people would want to wear them because it’s unique, original. You can’t go out to the store and buy them.”
