Now in its third year, South Korea’s local food economy project continues to boost regional businesses and create social value by supporting socially driven enterprises. The program offers "up to 20 million won in funding, along with one-on-one consulting and customized support such as marketing assistance, product development, and help with market access."

This year, five companies were selected for their innovative and eco-friendly ideas. Oneul developed an environmentally friendly juice made from pureed local produce, while Mill Project created crispy rice syrup balls using rice grown in Iksan, helping promote local agriculture. Waro operates a local food-based salad franchise that supports young people preparing for independence. Savers Korea upcycles discarded soap into liquid soap, reducing waste, and Vision Culture produces creative content focused on pet culture, community, and social engagement.
