PET Recycling Expansions

Aliplast, a subsidiary of the Hera Group and a prominent European leader in plastic regeneration, has expanded its operations by integrating Gurit Italia's Carmignano di Brenta plant, which specializes in PET recycling.

This strategic acquisition aligns with Aliplast's commitment to strengthening its presence in the increasingly important market for recycled plastics. Through this acquisition, Aliplast enhances its production capacity "by approximately 15,000 tonnes of recycled PET per year."

The plant, previously operated by Gurit Italia, will now be managed under Aliplast, which is controlled by Herambiente, a division of the Hera Group. This acquisition forms part of a broader strategy to meet the rising demand for recycled PET, a trend driven by evolving regulatory frameworks in Europe and Italy. These regulatory changes are expected to significantly increase the demand for sustainable recycling solutions, further supporting the growth of the recycled PET market.
