Heliograf has created Holy Carp!, a soy sauce dropper that’s completely plastic-free and made from natural sugar cane pulp. This innovative dropper breaks down naturally within just a few weeks when placed in a home compost or organic waste bin, turning into nutrient-rich soil. It also meets Australian regulations banning single-use plastics.

Designed to prevent spills and leaks, the Holy Carp! dropper keeps soy sauce fresh for over 48 hours. For extra protection, there’s an optional compostable sticker that seals the container securely. The company proudly points out that Holy Carp! contains no plastics such as PLA, or harmful chemicals such as PFAS.

To develop this handy alternative to the typical single-use plastic soy sauce fish packets, Heliograf teamed up with sushi restaurants and the design studio Vert Design. Each dropper can hold up to 12ml of soy sauce, with markings inside to show half or full servings. The droppers are filled fresh right in stores, ensuring customers get the freshest sauce possible.
