Students at King Edward VI School are showcasing their entrepreneurial skills through the Young Enterprise competition with 'ForeverWrap,' a sustainable gift-wrapping solution.

Made from 100% cotton deadstock fabric and stitched with thread derived from recycled plastic bottles, the reusable wraps offer an eco-conscious alternative to traditional paper. Designed with practicality in mind, each wrap features sewn-in ribbons at the corners, eliminating the need for single-use tape and enhancing ease of use. The wraps are offered in three size variations to accommodate a range of gift types, and are priced between £5 and £10.

"Our research showed that families and eco-conscious consumers are frustrated with wasteful wrapping products and are seeking an option that is both practical and environmentally friendly. The environmental impact of using ForeverWrap is considerable. Producing just one kilogram of wrapping paper releases approximately 3.5 kilograms of CO₂ [...] By reusing materials and creating a product built to last, ForeverWrap helps reduce this impact," said a group spokesperson.
