MIT Researchers Design the Refashion Software with Adobe

Researchers at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab are designing a new software called Refashion using the powers of Adobe. Using Refashion, users can break down the design process into modules to plan out specific elements of an item. By drawing shapes and fusing them, users can create a blueprint that can be adapted and added to over time. Refashion also reconfigures exisiting garments into new creations, repurposing old fabrics and textures for new ideas.
“We wanted to create garments that consider reuse from the start,” explains Rebecca Lin, MIT Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) PhD student, CSAIL and Media Lab Researcher, and lead author on a paper presenting the project.
