Siemens launches AI software aimed at helping manufacturers design more sustainable, compliant, and efficient products across their entire lifecycle. The new 'Teamcenter Sustainability Lifecycle Assessment' tool, developed in partnership with Makersite, integrates full-scale lifecycle assessment (LCA) capabilities into Siemens’ 'Teamcenter' product management suite -- part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio.

By embedding real-time environmental intelligence into the digital twin environment, the software enables predictive analysis of materials, energy use, and supply chain impacts from design to production. The integration allows teams to weigh cost, performance, and environmental factors, supporting circular design strategies such as modularity, recyclability, and reuse.

Frances Evans, SVP of Lifecycle Collaboration Software at Siemens, said the innovation empowers companies “to leverage AI to design for sustainability, enable circularity, and optimize material choices from the start.” With its new lifecycle intelligence platform, Siemens positions itself at the center of sustainable manufacturing transformation.
