Makersite Raised €60 Million to Accelerate Sustainable Development

Makersite, a Stuttgart-based AI software provider, has closed a €60 million Series B funding round co-led by Lightrock and Partech, with participation from SE Ventures and all previous Series A investors (Hitachi Ventures, KOMPAS VC, Translink Capital and Planet A). The new capital will be allocated to accelerating the development of Makersite’s Product Lifecycle Intelligence platform, scaling its technology infrastructure and expanding its global team to meet rising demand from manufacturers such as Microsoft, Daikin, Cummins, Barco and Schneider Electric.

Founded in 2018, Makersite’s platform uses artificial intelligence and graph technology to aggregate, clean and structure fragmented product and supply-chain data, combining this with one of the industry’s most comprehensive proprietary data foundations. The system provides real-time analytics on cost, carbon emissions, regulatory compliance and risk, enabling cross-functional teams to evaluate trade-offs and design more affordable, safe and environmentally responsible products. This capability addresses mounting regulatory pressures and corporate sustainability targets in an industry responsible for roughly 19 percent of global greenhouse-gas emissions.
