Durable Plant-Based Bioplastic Materials

von Holzhausen’s Liquidplant® is Plant-Based

von Holzhausen’s Liquidplant® aims to replace conventional petroleum-based plastics with a 100% plant-based bioplastic that does not force manufacturers or consumers to choose between durability and environmental safety. Unlike many existing green alternatives that sacrifice strength or flexibility, this new formulation claims to meet or exceed the mechanical properties of traditional performance plastics.

von Holzhausen’s Liquidplant® offers up to 15 times greater elongation under stress while being 20% lighter than standard thermoplastic polyurethanes. The plant-based bioplastic's tunable hardness allows it to mimic everything from soft, rubbery textures to rigid structural forms, and it maintains consistent elasticity across a wide temperature range from -40 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Beyond physical performance, Liquidplant addresses the persistent problem of plastic waste by being designed for true bio-circularity, meaning it can biodegrade roughly 150 times faster than conventional plastics.
