Plastic-Free Material Platforms

At New York Climate Week 2025, PlasticFree announced open access to the entirety of its global materials database, making it possible for brands, designers and businesses to explore alternatives to plastic and plastic-related materials. Through this online platform, users will discover science-backed, validated, plastic-free materials alongside design guidance and tools to support a circular economy.

The platform is now accessible to the public without fees or subscriptions, and to increase transparency and reduce deceptive claims, PlasticFree is integrating data and insights with AI infrastructure. “If we want AI to shape a better future, it must be fed trusted, science-backed, human-verified data,” said Sian Sutherland, Co-Founder, PlasticFree, at the launch of PlasticFree Land in New York.
