These coatings, which are formulated using biobased materials and hold a USDA BioPreferred certification, are designed to provide a surface barrier that inhibits the growth of mold, bacteria, and other microbes.

BioBond Adhesives emphasizes that its protective antimicrobial coatings serve as an alternative to conventional solvent-based epoxies and urethanes, and are characterized as being free of odors, microplastics, and PFAS compounds. The development of these colored variants is presented as a response to market demand for greater design flexibility without compromising the functional or environmental attributes of the original technology.
