Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP) Australia has begun trialing reverse vending machines (RVMs) at key manufacturing sites, including its Moorabbin facility in Victoria. Positioned near production lines, the machines collect empty plastic bottles, aluminium cans, and glass containers and channel them directly into the recycling stream. Participating users can receive deposit refunds, vouchers, or rewards, a system that has demonstrated success worldwide. The pilot is being conducted in partnership with Return-It, the eastern zone operator for Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme.

"[The] initiative reflects our long-standing support for Australia’s container deposit schemes and our commitment to investing in local recycling infrastructure. We want to ensure beverage containers are kept out of the environment," said CCEP’s Managing Director Orlando Rodriguez.
