Sustainable Hometel Events

This festive season, room2, the UK’s first hometel brand, is celebrating sustainability with its Circular Christmas initiative across Chiswick, Southampton, and Belfast from December 1 to 31. Emphasizing its zero-waste commitment, room2 transforms everyday coffee waste into unique gifts and experiences, with stays generating 76% less carbon per night than a typical UK hotel.

The hotel experience includes 3D-printed Christmas tree ornaments crafted from recycled coffee grounds available on-site while guests enjoy barista-made coffee. Priced starting at £5, £1 from each ornament supports local charities. Guests can also purchase coffee-ground soap bars, handmade with subtle coffee notes and gentle exfoliating properties.

At the bar, low-waste festive coffee cocktails, made with reclaimed coffee grounds, are offered in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions, with £1 from every cocktail donated to social causes.
