Sustainable Shelf-Stable Milk Packaging

The Seoul Dairy Cooperative (SDC) has adopted the SIG Terra Alu-free + Full barrier packaging material as a way to increase the sustainability of its shelf-stable milk product range. The launch will see the SDC using the aluminum layer-free full barrier aseptic carton pack, which will prioritize recyclability without losing sight of performance. The packaging is thus rated to deliver the same level of protection as previous iterations and will support up to 12 months of shelf life.

SDC President & CEO Jinsup Moon commented on the company's adoption of the SIG Terra Alu-free + Full barrier saying, "By adopting SIG Terra Alu-free + Full barrier, we are taking a significant step toward enhanced recycling and supporting Korea’s drive for a circular economy.”
