Signed, Seared, Delivered Campaign Calls for Climate Accountability
Georgia Wray Norsten — April 22, 2025'Signed, Seared, Delivered' is a powerful new campaign launched by the Climate Emergency Unit and creative agency Blackjet, urging Canadians to take direct action against the country’s escalating wildfire crisis. Timed to launch on Wildfire Community Preparedness Day, the initiative transforms familiar postcard imagery into a striking tool for climate advocacy -- replacing scenic landscapes with visuals of scorched forests and smoke-filled skies.
The campaign features 12,000 free, pre-addressed, postage-paid postcards that Canadians can send to top federal policymakers, including the Prime Minister and ministers responsible for environmental policy. This simple yet impactful act allows citizens to demand urgent climate action while highlighting the tangible impacts of government inaction. It’s a call for accountability that’s both accessible and symbolic, delivered straight to the desks of decision-makers.
With distribution beginning May 3 at Toronto retailers and a digital platform providing downloadable versions, the campaign is set to make waves both on paper and online. Putting pressure where it counts brings climate urgency into the national conversation.
