Standing Ovation and Bel Group Partnered on Production

Standing Ovation and Bel Group have announced a partnership that will see the brands working together to create sustainable dairy products. The partnership utilizes the patented technology from Standing Ovation, which has been scaled up to industrial standards in order to produce caseins through a precision fermentation process. This will see caseins produced that reduce CO₂ emissions by 74%, while also reducing water use by 68% and land use by 99% when compared to farming alternative processes.

Standing Ovation CEO Yvan Chardonnens spoke on the partnership with the Bel Group saying, "This world-first achievement proves that our industry can be profoundly transformed by generating significant nutritional, economic, and environmental value. The ability to generate caseins from a co-product of traditional cheese-making represents a true technological revolution, as well as a significant step forward in our commitment to a sustainable food transition."
