As part of its effort toward a more sustainable travel ecosystem, Trip.com Group has introduced a novel carbon emissions tracking feature, which allows travelers to compare the environmental impact of different transportation options, including flights, car rentals, and European train services. This transparency empowers users to make eco-conscious decisions while planning trips.
Beyond consumer-facing tools, the organization has made operational strides in renewable energy adoption, with solar installations at corporate facilities generating substantial clean power. Its green electricity usage in data centers has increased to nearly 43%. The report notably includes expanded Scope 3 emissions accounting, reflecting a commitment to thorough environmental impact assessment as part of its 2050 carbon neutrality roadmap.
