Designer Recycled Material Benches

The Torii Bench has been designed by Aliasgar Aboojiwala for India-based Placyle as an eco-friendly take on the humble exterior furniture design. The bench is made with a series of 100% recycled plastic pieces that's sourced from post-consumer sources and industrial waste streams to maximize its eco-friendly profile. The material is thus weatherproof, tactile, splinter-free and UV-stable, while the stainless steel hardware will complement this performance-driven design.

The Torii Bench draws design inspiration from the torii gate of Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, Japan to give it an architectural flair. The furniture design identifies how recycled solutions are quickly becoming essential amongst consumers seeking to cut their carbon footprint, while also addressing demands for products with style.
