Carbonfact Acquired Vaayu to Unify Its Carbon Accounting for Apparel Brands

Carbonfact acquired Berlin-based Vaayu, combining two of fashion’s leading environmental data platforms into a single carbon accounting tool for apparel and footwear brands. The merged platform now serves more than 300 brands, including On, Ganni, The North Face, New Balance and Axel Arigato.

The combined platform brings together more than 150,000 fashion-specific emissions factors, energy data from over 7,000 textile factories and two million product-level life cycle assessments performed daily. Brands can measure carbon impact at the individual SKU level and generate audit-ready reports aligned with the CSRD, the Digital Product Passport and Science Based Targets.

This merger shows how purpose-built data infrastructure, rather than adapted generic tools, can become the foundation for credible decarbonization progress in fashion.
