Sustainable Mobility Accelerator Programmes

CO.LAB is Targeting Eco Innovations in Various Sectors

The Company Lab (CO.LAB) recently opened applications for its Sustainable Mobility Accelerator in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a six-week program that guides early-stage startups through customer acquisition strategies and pilot implementations in-market. Participants are not required to relocate permanently, although several alumni have chosen to establish local operations upon completion. CO.LAB defines sustainable mobility as the future-forward movement of people, goods, energy, and data, leveraging Chattanooga’s status as a national freight hub—where an estimated 85 percent of U.S. trucked goods pass—to provide startups with real-world testing environments and strategic industry connections.

CO.LAB’s accelerator distinguishes itself through a corporate matching model, admitting only those teams for which it can secure a pilot or first-customer opportunity with an established industry partner. Each cohort is limited to six companies, ensuring focused access to specialized mentorship from technologists, industry experts, and venture capitalists, alongside up to $20,000 in direct investment on the terms of the startups’ current financing rounds and potential follow-on funding. By situating the program within Chattanooga’s unique convergence of freight, energy (via the Tennessee Valley Authority), and advanced fiber-optic infrastructure (through EPB’s quantum network), CO.LAB provides an integrated ecosystem for scaling innovative mobility solutions.
