The COMPOST exhibition at BLEUR Gallery & Studios presents a collaborative project that integrates visual art, culinary innovation, and sustainability principles.

Developed by Indian artist Rhea Gupte and Bengali chef Sohini Banerjee, with table design by Amira Hashish, the exhibition features a limited two-night dining program situated within the gallery setting. The initiative explores how excess food waste can be repurposed into both artistic expression and inventive culinary creations.

The exhibition is structured as a multi-sensory experience in which the boundaries between artwork, dining, and environment are intentionally blurred. Visual elements, sound, and the tasting menu collectively reflect themes of waste reduction and circularity, encouraging participants to reconsider their perception of discarded materials. Each course is designed in response to the exhibition’s central concepts, transforming the dining table itself into an edible installation. Through this format, the project aims to engage guests in an immersive exploration of sustainability, creative reuse, and the ecological impact of everyday consumption.
