An eco-conscious city is at the heart of Electrolux’s collaboration with Skanska, a partnership that reflects Sweden’s leadership in sustainable urban innovation. The development, led by Skanska, utilizes timber sourced from responsibly managed Swedish forests, demonstrating how renewable materials can achieve both architectural integrity and climate resilience.

Combining "bio-based timber with reused bricks, the project exemplifies circular economy principles—reducing waste, extending material lifecycles, and minimizing carbon emissions across the entire construction process." This ensures the integration of environmental performance with modern aesthetics, showing that sustainability can coexist seamlessly with sophistication.

Known as 'Greenhouse Sthlm,' the initiative extends beyond individual buildings to foster neighborhood-scale sustainability. Envisioned as “a small city within the city,” it promotes smart energy use, low-impact living, and community well-being, establishing a scalable model for sustainable development that harmonizes innovation, functionality, and environmental stewardship.
