Food Organization Rebrands
The Food for Climate League Changes to BITE
Debra John — January 20, 2026The Food for Climate League, a nonprofit organization advancing climate-smart food choices, has rebranded as BITE (Building Impact Through Eaters) to reflect its expanded role in supporting sustainable food systems.
Founded in 2019, the organization’s work is grounded in research on the behavioral, cultural, and emotional factors that shape food decisions and their environmental impacts; these insights have informed strategies that help institutions reduce food-related greenhouse gas emissions and resource use while maintaining consumer appeal.
Operating as BITE, the organization's work supports reductions in emissions, food waste, and resource intensity by equipping culinary teams with practical tools, training, and motivation to implement sustainable practices. Moreover, BITE’s integrated approach enables organizations to embed climate-smart food choices into everyday eating experiences at scale.
