Podbike’s Frikar electric vehicle, initially launched in Norway and Germany and now available in Austria and Belgium with deliveries expected by July 2025, combines an enclosed cabin design with sustainable urban mobility. The Frikar protects riders from adverse weather and reinforces practical, all-season commuting. Propulsion integrates pedal-generated power via an onboard generator that feeds two rear-wheel electric motors, enabling a top speed of 25 km/h and a single-charge range of up to 60 km, which can be extended through optional supplemental batteries.

Designed for a solo adult occupant plus up to 160 liters of cargo—or a child seat—the Frikar supports a total load of 230 kg while weighing approximately 100 kg itself. Standard comfort and safety features include full lighting, a windshield wiper, defroster, mirrors, interior carpeting, and a removable roof. Priced from around US $12,200 (country-dependent), the Frikar’s distribution remains confined to Europe, as its specifications fall outside the e-bike regulatory frameworks in regions such as the United States.
