Heybike Unveiled the Mars 3.0 Folding Fat-Tire eBike at a Low Price
Colin Smith — August 7, 2025Heybike’s Mars 3.0 is powered by the in-house Galaxy Perform eDrive System, which combines a 750 W nominal motor with 95 N·m of torque and a peak output of 1,400 W. The Class 2 configuration accelerates from 0 to 20 mph in roughly six seconds and can be unlocked via the Heybike app or on-board display to achieve Class 3 speeds up to 28 mph (with higher limits accessible where regulations permit). Energy comes from a 624 Wh removable battery that, under ideal conditions, delivers up to 65 miles of range per charge. Pedal assist is governed by a torque sensor for smooth, proportional power delivery, and stopping power is provided by hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors. The full-suspension chassis—featuring a 50 mm hydraulic fork and a Horst-link rear shock—ensures ride comfort across mixed terrain.
The Mars 3.0’s folding aluminum frame houses its battery internally, allowing for compact transport and storage. Knobby 20 × 4 inch fat tires provide traction on both asphalt and light off-road trails, while a color TFT display offers ride metrics and multiple security unlock methods—including NFC key card, PIN code, or the Heybike mobile app. Practical features such as integrated LED lights with turn signals, full-length fenders, a rear cargo rack, and a built-in horn enhance its utility for daily commutes and weekend excursions alike.
