Collaborative Green Concrete Demonstrations
CHASM & Terracon Present Green Concrete's Efficacy
Kalin Ned — November 18, 2025CHASM Advanced Materials, in collaboration with the engineering firm Terracon, has conducted a practical demonstration in Kansas of its green concrete — a material that involves the integration of carbon nanotubes into a concrete mixture. The objective of this partnership was to prove the efficacy of a building material that offers enhanced structural characteristics and a reduced environmental footprint, while avoiding the significant cost increase often associated with specialized, eco-friendly construction products.
CHASM Advanced Materials highlighted a proprietary method for evenly distributing the nanotubes within the cement, which ensures the green concrete mixture maintains its workability for large-scale pouring operations. The resulting concrete was reported to surpass standard industry strength benchmarks at the time of installation. To validate long-term performance, the experimental concrete slab was placed adjacent to a conventional one in a location subject to substantial daily stress from heavy vehicle traffic.
