Greentown Labs, Amazon & the Global CO₂ Initiative Debut Go Build 2026
Kalin Ned — October 26, 2025Go Build 2026 is a collaborative initiative organized by Greentown Labs in partnership with Amazon and the Global CO₂ Initiative at the University of Michigan. The program's objective is to identify and support emerging companies that are developing processes for carbon dioxide mineralization for us in producing concrete aggregates.
Selected participants will gain access to technical guidance from Amazon's sustainability experts and the research capabilities of the Global CO₂ Initiative, with support intended to cover areas such as technology validation, economic modeling for large-scale use, and strategies for incorporating new methods into existing production systems. The Go Build 2026 program will provide physical workspace, networking events, and a stipend based on need to the chosen startups.
This effort is contextualized within Amazon's broader commitment to achieve net-zero carbon in its operations and the construction industry's significant contribution to global greenhouse gas emissions.
