Marine Bottle Removal Initiatives

Hubbard's Marina Aims to Eliminate Company Plastic Bottle Use

A multi-generation, family-owned marine operator called Hubbard's Marina has announced a company-wide New Year’s commitment to remove single-use plastics across its 12-vessel fleet.

Effective January 1, the initiative represents a major sustainability milestone in Hubbard’s Marina’s longstanding approach to environmental responsibility. The operation currently distributes more than 100,000 plastic water bottles each year. All vessels operated by Hubbard’s Marina, including the newly launched Tampa Bay Ferry, will transition to reusable aluminum bottles in place of disposable plastic.

The broader “Hubbard’s Enterprise Ecosystem” encompasses the marina and its affiliated businesses, including Hubbard’s Sea Adventures, Hubbard’s Ferry, Hubbard’s Media, Hub’s Marine Fabrication, Friendly Fisherman Seafood Restaurant, Don’s Docks Seafood Market, the Fuel and Bait Shop, and Hub’s Ranch & Grove, which is home to Wonderfield Farm.
