Wood-Clad Wellness Retreats

Jainika Shah has designed the new Adhyatma, a wellness retreat expected in Sedona, Arizona. The name comes from a Sanskrit term that means "higher soul," while the retreat itself is composed of recycled wood and shallow reflective pools. The retreat has a variety of sensory zones to help inspire meditation, reflection, and solitude. The 'Mycelium Maison' is also another one of Shah's works that explore the impact of alternative building materials. The unit explores how mycelium building components can grow, decompose, and nourish the environment while contributing to natural cycles.
