Kapag and Sappi Introduce the Changemaker to Champion Plastic Reduction

Sappi has unveiled Changemaker, a new plastic-free packaging solution developed in collaboration with paperboard manufacturer Kapag. This solution, dubbed 'Changemaker,' combines Sappi’s premium Algro Design paperboard or Fusion Topliner with AvantGuard functional barrier paper to create a strong, protective, and eco-friendly material.
Kapag’s Changemaker line of laminated paperboard products is intended to replace or drastically reduce plastic in packaging. The solution is a 100% paper-based, mono-material, and fully recyclable option, making it suitable for a wide range of food products. By using Changemaker, brands can deliver environmentally responsible packaging while maintaining the durability and quality customers expect from traditional plastic alternatives.
